Indonesia is rich of many kinds of food. It is served in either traditional or modern restaurant. You can find a lot of delicious meals and interesting kinds of servings such as chicken satay which is very popular among tourists and expatriates as well as nasi padang and many others. You will learn a conversation that takes place in Indonesian restaurant.
Anto : Pelayan! ( waiter !)
Pelayan: Pesan apa pak? (what do you want to order sir?)
Anto : Saya pesan nasi goreng 1 porsi dan sate ayam 10 tusuk.
( I want to have a portion of fried rice and ten sticks of chicken satay)
Pelayan: Untuk minumannya bapak pesan apa?
(What do you want for your drink?)
Anto : Saya mau Es teh manis
( I want iced tea with sugar )
Pelayan: Ada lagi pak?
Anto : Saya rasa cukup.
( I think it’s enough)
Pelayan: Ok. Saya ulangi pesanan bapak. I porsi nasi goreng, 1o tusuk sate ayam dan satu gelas es teh manis. Segera
( I repeat what you ordered sir. I portion of fried rice, 10 sticks of chicken satay and one glass of iced tea with sugar. Right away)
